Promises, promises – this time they’re telling us straight, Measure H was a lie – but they still expect us to pass a simple measure with no restrictions on spending – NO!

Congratulations Chico Manager Mark Sorenson and City Clerk Debbie Presson on your pending 5 and 7% raises – on the same agenda that they tell us they’ll need another $175,000 to run a new sales tax measure on the November ballot

Debbie Presson’s salary will be increased to $198,000/year.

Sorensen already makes over $211,000,year, he also gets 7 and 5% raises over the next year.

They’re also asking for another $175,000 to pay costs for putting their new sales tax measure on the ballot. Council has already approved $100,000.

County’s pension deficit has grown over $30 million in the last six years, with the CAO compensated at over $350,000/year. Did you know some of your county supervisors are compensated at over $100,000/year? But it’s the library’s fault we ‘need’ a county sales tax increase?
