Kamala Harris is corrupt, but I guess that’s nothing new in politics

3 May

I was talking to my supervisor Maureen Kirk about the Cal Water rate increase case, and she asked me about former CPUC President Michael Peevey. I had written some e-mails to Peevey, not only protesting the rate hike as I was instructed by the ratepayers advocate’s office, but I sent him a picture I’d got from some folks in Lucerne, CA – a shining brand new bass boat hooked up to a Cal Water truck. People in the Clear Lake area were getting hit really hard with rate increases, they were pissed off enough to form a tar and feathers party.

Of course Peevey never got back to me, he was way too busy.

Peevey is a bad man, and deserves to go to jail.

but Kamala Harris is a shill, and blew the investigation.  On purpose? Because her buddy Jerry Brown and his sister Kathy are in up to their necks?

Kamala’s got big plans, it would be a poor time for her to rock the boat.

Wow, I’ll ask this question out loud – how did Kamala Harris get on the cover of Ebony magazine? Is this her game plan? Be the first “black” (ha ha) woman to be governor of California?

This election is going to be a disaster no matter how you cut it up.

This is why voting (at least for candidates) is for suckers. These days I pretty much don’t vote for anyone and just vote against all tax increases and bond measures (against anything that increases taxes, debt or gooberment spending). All these candidates are corrupt to some degree. They all represent special interests and always bend if not outright break the rules for them at our expense, always. They always create special legislation for those who help put them in power. And all of this costs us dearly. Our only choice for any given office comes down to voting for criminals. The system is corrupt to the core.

Here is just one very tiny example that virtually no one is aware of. You will be paying even more for internet access in the future. While the rest of the world gets 100 mbs or more (much more in may places) speeds for a fraction of what we currently pay for much slower speeds, our costs for inferior service will continue to rise. And I bet 99.9999% of voters don’t even know about this. 99.999% of voters have no idea what their elected criminals are doing on a day to day basis.

No kidding. I think it’s impossible, they are doing so much stuff so fast it’s like trying to count popcorn as it pops. (I was going to say, “field a shitstorm with a tennis racket” but I’m trying to clean up my act.)

I love that, “elected criminals,” I’ll have to pass that one along.

And oh yeah, I forgot to tell you about the thing I read in an agenda for a meeting I’m probably not going to make today.

From the “Local Governments Agency agenda, available here,

        Click to access LGC-5-4-16-AgendaandMinutes.pdf

” [Jennifer] Macarthy [Butte County Administrative Officer] also advised that research was being conducted on the feasibility of establishing a Community Choice Aggregation (CCA) to lower utility costs for residents and businesses. A CCA purchases power on behalf of the community while PG&E continues to be responsible for the infrastructure, transmission, and distribution. Sonoma County customers were saving 6% – 8% over PG&E costs, however the CPUC recently increased the Power Cost Indifference Adjustment fee which goes to PG&E to allow PG&E to remain whole even though they are losing customers. With the fee increase, cost savings for CCA customers could be diminished/erased. Sonoma customers are now saving only 1% and Marin County customers will be paying more than PG&E rates. As a result the County is putting the discussion on hold until the power cost indifference fee issue plays out. Orme agreed that it isn’t’ wise to bring the proposal forward to the governing bodies right now.”

An indifference fee? That is freaking hilarious. Only some snot nosed gooberment bureaucrat could come up with that.

But if I’m very interested (outraged more like) will they lower my indifference fee? 🙂

Oh, good question! Answer is NO!

They should call it an “insulting” fee.

Kamala Harris sucks. Pure and simple. Now she’s a senator, and a corrupt one.

I hope her next four years are frustrating and demoralizing, and she quits. In the meantime, we need to look at new candidates. I hope Sanchez runs again.

Harris is unfit to be senator
