Happy “9/11”! While the government reminds you how many people died on that day and in the days following, I’d like to remind you how many of your civil liberties you’ve surrendered since then. The following list, made five years after the incident, sounds a lot like the COVID shutdown!

Here’s a memory of what America was like before 9/11. And yeah, I miss Tom Petty too.
Never forget a huge new government bureaucracy was created from 9/11. The abominable TSA.
Last time I had to fly I got the feel up AND the porno scan. Can you imagine what the founders of the country would do if they were treated like that? It has nothing to do with terrorism. It is all about control and conditioning the public to accept anything. If people allow themselves and their kids to be porno scanned and felt up what won’t they allow their government masters to do to them? Anyway, I don’t fly anymore.
This guy has written a bunch of stuff on TSA.

Thanks, I agree – what the hell are we teaching our kids? I don’t mind a metal detector, but the weird xray and the pat-down seem a little beyond. I’m going to guess those are subjective decisions made by TSA staff, based on that weird list, and that’s really creepy.
I think the unions are responsible here – so many sweet jobs created by these laws. With absolutely no accountability. How many times have we heard about valuable items being stolen from baggage. Lost baggage has just become part of the routine. But if we step out of line with these people we get taken to some little room and denied passage. And now Biden has opened the doors for more terrorists to come in.
I haven’t flown for years – before terrorism, we heard more about how old our plane fleet is, and how badly maintained. Those are still problems. I’ll never forget some of the horror stories I heard before terrorism started pushing corporate incompetence and greed off the front page.
One accident that haunted me was the failure of the main bolt that held a plane together – the whole plane just fell apart. I couldn’t remember the details so I googled, “bolt breaks, tail falls off plane in flight”. Wow, accident after accident, some of them really big, resulting from old bolts not being replaced when they should.
Another was because they put two young, inexperienced pilots on a trans-Atlantic flight from Brazil to France. They put the plane on auto-pilot and both went to sleep. They woke up and the plane was headed down, but they didn’t know how to correct it – the plane went into the Atlantic, never recovered. In another incident, an Egyptian pilot, realizing the company execs were on the plane, dived right into the ocean with over 100 passengers. Stuff like that kept me off planes long before 9/11.
