I was cleaning my computer files and found this report from a January 2018 Council agenda. I’ve contacted Jamie Cannon in the city Human Resouces Department and asked her to direct me to a more recent report with current figures, I’ll post any response I get from her.

This is an old report but it shows how the city’s (taxpayers’) contribution GOES UP AUTOMATICALLY EVERY YEAR, with no input from the taxpayers, while any increase in employee share has to be bargained and approved by the employees.
This report also shows that we pay ALL OF THE UNFUNDED LIABILITY, WHICH MEANS, WE’RE PAYING MORE SHARE THAN IS REPORTED IN THE “REGULAR” PAYMENTS. They don’t include the UAL when they figure shares, they exclude it and just leave the taxpayers to pick it up. The whooooooole thing!
Tomorrow night council will consider asking employees to pay part of the city’s payroll share – 3 – 6%. But no mention of what a consultant told the Finance Committee in September 2020 – “each year the city makes two types of payments to CalPERS – the ‘normal cost’ or ‘payroll’, and the ‘extra’ payments toward the Unfunded Actuarial Liability (UAL)…”

Look at the city’s share of the cost, and compare it to the employee shares, and then join me in demanding that the employees pay not only bigger shares toward the payroll share but pay the same share of the UAL.
Hi Juanita: The Chico PD was given strict instructions to back off from the homeless in the settlement agreement. I view this as an opportunity for the CPD to reduce the number of officers, saving taxpayers millions in salaries, benefits, and pensions. As you know, I have been a firm critic of CPD and their officers that used unnecessary lethal force on my son. Now, the CPD only gets involved with a civilian when called in to do so by an Outreach staff member.
Note also the Chico brain trust of Orme, attorney Ewing of Alvarez-Glassman-Colvin, and the council cost the taxpayers millions of $$$. Best- Scott R.

Outreach is not working, Scott. I recently witnessed a pair of outreach councilors intervening in an arrest and I was shocked that they don’t have any psychological credentials or real training. They’re just well-intentioned volunteers. The person they tried to reach out to walked right by them and was not held responsible for the crime he had committed. Later that day the same person returned to the scene of the crime to harass the folks who had called for help in the first place.
We do need a certain number of trained police officers per population. I don’t want to call the cops for a crime being committed against me and be told there’s nobody to help.
We do need to both train officers better and require officers to be under the supervision of a trained psychologist.
Must watch video…does any of this sound familiar???

Bob, thanks for posting these videos. I’m tired of the gaslighting and propaganda. If anyone thinks this is about a virus they should start investigating further. The data does NOT back up all the lies they are throwing at us.The tests are NOT authorized for the purpose of evaluating contagion. There is so much money involved people have lost their moral compass. You won’t see any of this on mainstream media. It’s time all COVID restrictions and mandates end immediately. Our children are suffering greatly. I don’t think we are going to like the new slavery system they have planned for us with the social credit system. It is “absolutely crucial we fight this” like so many other countries are fighting. It should cause thinking people to say, “What the hell is going on here?”
